Notes

GROUND FLOOR Although level access is available from the public footpath on North Street to the side door, the side door leads directly into the kitchen from which there is a step to the living room. There is insufficient space in which to manoeuvre a wheelchair. It would be possible to manoeuvre a wheelchair through the front door, which is of standard width, but this would gain access only to the living room. Access to the toilet facilities is only available by using the stairs leading to the first floor. FIRST FLOOR The first floor is accessed via a relatively narrow stairway leading from the living room. There is a single handrail and adequate headroom. The first floor landing is on three levels and would not suit anyone with limited mobility. There is a low step into the shower in bathroom one, but a high side to the small bath in bathroom two. GENERAL COMMENTS The operation of the key in the stable door to the side of the property (being the main entrance) may be difficult with someone with limited manual dexterity. Similarly, the door handles on the first floor are not lever-type handles, but round knobs. Form completed 18.10.09 GA
