    “Relaxing friendly guest house”

We chose this accomodation as the owners (Neil and Theresa) offer gluten free breakfast and fully understand how to make sure that food isn't contaminated with gluten. There was a nice selection of gluten free cereals (cornflakes, muesli etc) with bread and also a very nice cooked breakfast where everything was gluten free (and nice to eat even for someone who doesn't have a gluten free diet!). They also provided both regular and gluten free biscuits in the rooms as well as occasional home-made gluten free cake which was delicious (even by regular cake standards!)

Neil and Theresa also had prepared an eating out guide for Keswick and the surrounding area with tips for which establishments offered gluten free dining. We found that Keswick had several places that offered gluten free dining and many others that offered snacks so would recommend Keswick as a destination for people who need a gluten free diet.

The house has nice appearance in keeping with the surrounding area. There is a lounge and dining room for use by guests. The room we were in was at the front and clean, it wasn't particularly large - but I suspect that this is common in that area due to the way the houses are constructed. The en-suite was similarly small but was clean and functional and equipped with a shower, basin and toilet (with macerator which when triggered was quite noisy). The area is quiet so we were able to sleep with the window open as it was quite warm.

We had brought bikes with us and Neil very kindly let us keep them in the outhouse for security and kept them out of the rain. Neil also had reserved us a parking space in front of the house so that we could park close by which was very helpful.
