It is an ideal base for exploring the Eden Valley and is very close to Lake Ullswater, where you will find the Ullswater Steamers and fantastic walks and scenery. Other nearby attractions include the Rheged Centre and Penrith Castle. Penrith is the gateway to Scotland, the Borders and Gretna being approx. 40 minutes away and Carlisle city centre just 20 minutes away. Keswick is approx. 30 minutes away, making it an ideal base for day trips. Children welcome from any age.
